The dj has two small closed tears but is otherwise in good condition and protected with new Brodart. Shelf wear to the bottom edges of the boards. This companion volume to the same author's "Secrets of the Great Pyramid" contains more than 500 illlustrations taken from rare books and other sources as well as specially commissioned drawings. The author recounts the history of the Mexican pyramids from their sighting by Cortes as rubble-covered mounds through four centuries of efforts to uncover the mystery of their existence.
