Christian Books - for the discerning Christian.

Here's we will build a complete Christian Section to the bookstore with links, graphics, history and articles of a Christian nature. To highlight and bring to the attention of our many Christian buyers all the Christian books we have to sell. We carry over 30,000 Christian books and this will be it's homepage with several dozen major sections under that.

So come visit this section often as we expand and open this exciting section of our webstore to the public.

Thanks,

Robert Grothe, General Manager

Nativity Image - ChristmasChristmas Season (Church Year - Dec - Jan) - the beginning of the church year, which doesn't start as the typical calendar year, but starts the 1st Sunday of Advent which is first of December through middle of February. This season is the busiest for the church as several church holidays happen in short order through these 3 months. The Advent month of December kicks off the season with it's emphasis on being prepared for Christ's coming both as a baby in Bethlehem but also Jesus 2nd coming as Lord when he will take all believers to heaven and destroy the entire world with fire. The Christmas celebration is the largest church wide celebration the world over. We celebrate the coming of the Christ child, God's only son, born to a virgin woman named Mary and laid in a manger in a barn with the animals, where shepherds and wisemen come to worship and honor him, bringing gifts of gold, incense and myrh. The start of the gift giving traditions we celebrate with family and friends started in this humble beginning. Then to Epiphany where we celebrate Jesus's circumcision, commanded by God of the Old Testament and required of all male babies according to Jewish law.  Jesus, the very son of God, came to earth as a human baby to fulfill ALL righteousness before God, to live the perfect life and become the Savior and Lord of the people of the world by dying on a cross and rising from the dead.

Martin Luther 1529The Reformation (Church Year, celebrated end of October) - In honor of the mid 1500's Christian Reformation of the church in which Dr. Martin Luther posted his 95 reforms needed in order to help society and culture get out of the Dark Ages it had spiraled into. And from these basic reforms and the many thousands of other Biblical articles Dr. Luther encouraged his people to take back the truths that God intended mankind to live by as stated in Holy Scripture. These basic principles revolved around the primary premise of "Salvation by Grace Alone".  Agorabooks proudly offers hundreds of books about this volatile period of history in which the entire human race was invited to embrace a freedom of expression they had never experienced before.

Trinity Season (Church Year, June - November) - during this church season we focus on the trinitarian nature of God as Father, Son (Jesus Christ) & Holy Spirit. It is usually during this season of the church year we hear sermons on discipleship, Christian living, and living the sanctified life. The theme is practical living based on the truths of God who loves us. Find a church near you and go worship with others this weekend, an awesome God who has created this vast world for us to enjoy and find true happiness, inspiration for right living, and motivation to serve all human kind with peace and equality in proclaiming His love.
